The Upper Deschutes is an entirely different river from the lower 100 miles of the river. The upper is characterized by winding meadow sections and heavily forested scenery in the heart of the Deschutes National Forest.
Wade or float, depending on the section of the river you want to fish. Redbands, brook trout, and brown trout are all on the menu in this angler's paradise.
